Yoga is a profound system of holistic health that originated in India over 5000 years ago. Yoga assists the practitioner in healing the mind and body, and reducing stress and anxiety. Many claim relief in physical pain, better sleep, and an overall better quality of life.
Why practice yoga & mindfulness?
I have never done yoga, what if I'm not flexible enough?
You only need to be flexible in the mind! We have a wide variety of classes for all levels of ability. We also offer props to help the modern day body get into any postures when necessary! You will find that practicing yoga will improve your range-of-motion, but it is not always the main goal.
What class should I start with?
The ZMY begin class is great for first-timers or those looking to get back to basics. Postures are taken slow and broken down into an understanding of proper alignment, modifications, and moving in a safe way to avoid injury.
What do I wear?
No special clothing needed! Just make sure it is comfortable and be aware that you will be folding forward and lifting your legs.
What do I bring?
To practice safety guidelines we will not be providing mats or props until further notice, so bring a mat to your first class and we can go from there. This information is the same for online classes as well. If you are taking a special class that requires more, it will say so in the description.
